- Psalms 19 44:1 - We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.
למנצח לבני־קרח משׂכיל אלהים באזנינו שׁמענו אבותינו ספרו־לנו פעל פעלת בימיהם בימי קדם - Psalms 19 106:6 - We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity , we have done wickedly .
חטאנו עמ־אבותינו העוינו הרשׁענו חָטָא Bear the blame, cleanse.. [8804] אָב Chief, (fore-)father(-l.. עָוָה Do amiss, bow down, mak.. [8689] רָשַׁע Condemn, make trouble, .. [8689] - Joshua 6 24:17 - For the LORD our God, he it is that brought us up and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and which did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way wherein we went , and among all the people through whom we passed :
כי יהוה אלהינו הוא המעלה אתנו ואת־אבותינו מארץ מצרים מבית עבדים ואשׁר עשׂה לעינינו את־האתות הגדלות האלה וישׁמרנו בכל־הדרך אשׁר הלכנו בה ובכל העמים אשׁר עברנו בקרבם - Psalms 19 106:7 - Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt ; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies ; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.
אבותינו במצרים לא־השׂכילו נפלאותיך לא זכרו את־רב חסדיך וימרו על־ים בימ־סוף - 2 Chronicles 14 34:21 - Go , enquire of the LORD for me, and for them that are left in Israel and in Judah, concerning the words of the book that is found : for great is the wrath of the LORD that is poured out upon us, because our fathers have not kept the word of the LORD, to do after all that is written in this book.
לכו דרשׁו את־יהוה בעדי ובעד הנשׁאר בישׂראל וביהודה על־דברי הספר אשׁר נמצא כי־גדולה חמת־יהוה אשׁר נתכה בנו על אשׁר לא־שׁמרו אבותינו את־דבר יהוה לעשׂות ככל־הכתוב על־הספר הזה
