- 2 Samuel 10 21:1 - Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year ; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered , It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.
ויהי רעב בימי דוד שׁלשׁ שׁנים שׁנה אחרי שׁנה ויבקשׁ דוד את־פני יהוה ויאמר יהוה אל־שׁאול ואל־בית הדמים על־אשׁר־המית את־הגבענים - Exodus 2 14:23 - And the Egyptians pursued , and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.
וירדפו מצרים ויבאו אחריהם כל סוס פרעה רכבו ופרשׁיו אל־תוך הים - 1 Samuel 9 14:36 - And Saul said , Let us go down after the Philistines by night, and spoil them until the morning light, and let us not leave a man of them. And they said , Do whatsoever seemeth good unto thee. Then said the priest, Let us draw near hither unto God.
ויאמר שׁאול נרדה אחרי פלשׁתים לילה ונבזה בהם עד־אור הבקר ולא־נשׁאר בהם אישׁ ויאמרו כל־הטוב בעיניך עשׂה ויאמר הכהן נקרבה הלם אל־האלהים - Genesis 1 41:27 - And the seven thin and ill favoured kine that came up after them are seven years ; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine.
ושׁבע הפרות הרקות והרעת העלת אחריהן שׁבע שׁנים הנה ושׁבע השׁבלים הרקות שׁדפות הקדים יהיו שׁבע שׁני רעב - Deuteronomy 5 11:28 - And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known .
והקללה אמ־לא תשׁמעו אל־מצות יהוה אלהיכם וסרתם מנ־הדרך אשׁר אנכי מצוה אתכם היום ללכת אחרי אלהים אחרים אשׁר לא־ידעתם
