- Genesis 1 8:21 - And the LORD smelled a sweet savour ; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake ; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth ; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done .
וירח יהוה את־ריח הניחח ויאמר יהוה אל־לבו לא־אסף לקלל עוד את־האדמה בעבור האדם כי יצר לב האדם רע מנעריו ולא־אסף עוד להכות את־כל־חי כאשׁר עשׂיתי - Ezekiel 26 14:7 - For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself:
כי אישׁ אישׁ מבית ישׂראל ומהגר אשׁר־יגור בישׂראל וינזר מאחרי ויעל גלוליו אל־לבו ומכשׁול עונו ישׂים נכח פניו ובא אל־הנביא לדרשׁ־לו בי אני יהוה נענה־לו בי - Ezekiel 26 14:4 - Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD ; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet ; I the LORD will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols ;
לכן דבר־אותם ואמרת אליהם כה־אמר אדני יהוה אישׁ אישׁ מבית ישׂראל אשׁר יעלה את־גלוליו אל־לבו ומכשׁול עונו ישׂים נכח פניו ובא אל־הנביא אני יהוה נעניתי לו בה ברב גלוליו - Ecclesiastes 21 7:2 - It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting : for that is the end of all men ; and the living will lay it to his heart.
טוב ללכת אל־בית־אבל מלכת אל־בית משׁתה באשׁר הוא סוף כל־האדם והחי יתן אל־לבו - 2 Samuel 10 19:19 - And said unto the king, Let not my lord impute iniquity unto me, neither do thou remember that which thy servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.
