- Judges 7 7:14 - And his fellow answered and said , This is nothing else save the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel : for into his hand hath God delivered Midian, and all the host.
ויען רעהו ויאמר אין זאת בלתי אמ־חרב גדעון בנ־יואשׁ אישׁ ישׂראל נתן האלהים בידו את־מדין ואת־כל־המחנה - 1 Chronicles 13 1:46 - And when Husham was dead , Hadad the son of Bedad, which smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.
וימת חושׁם וימלך תחתיו הדד בנ־בדד המכה את־מדין בשׂדה מואב ושׁם עירו עיות - Judges 7 6:16 - And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.
ויאמר אליו יהוה כי אהיה עמך והכית את־מדין כאישׁ אחד - Judges 7 7:7 - And the LORD said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand : and let all the other people go every man unto his place.
ויאמר יהוה אל־גדעון בשׁלשׁ מאות האישׁ המלקקים אושׁיע אתכם ונתתי את־מדין בידך וכל־העם ילכו אישׁ למקמו - Judges 7 7:2 - And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying , Mine own hand hath saved me.
ויאמר יהוה אל־גדעון רב העם אשׁר אתך מתתי את־מדין בידם פנ־יתפאר עלי ישׂראל לאמר ידי הושׁיעה לי
