- 1 Samuel 9 26:6 - Then answered David and said to Ahimelech the Hittite, and to Abishai the son of Zeruiah, brother to Joab, saying , Who will go down with me to Saul to the camp ? And Abishai said , I will go down with thee.
ויען דוד ויאמר אל־אחימלך החתי ואל־אבישׁי בנ־צרויה אחי יואב לאמר מי־ירד אתי אל־שׁאול אל־המחנה ויאמר אבישׁי אני ארד עמך - 1 Chronicles 13 11:6 - And David said , Whosoever smiteth the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain. So Joab the son of Zeruiah went first up , and was chief.
