- Genesis 1 34:25 - And it came to pass on the third day, when they were sore , that two of the sons of Jacob, Simeon and Levi, Dinah's brethren, took each man his sword, and came upon the city boldly, and slew all the males.
ויהי ביום השׁלישׁי בהיותם כאבים ויקחו שׁני־בני־יעקב שׁמעון ולוי אחי דינה אישׁ חרבו ויבאו על־העיר בטח ויהרגו כל־זכר - 1 Kings 11 18:31 - And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the LORD came, saying , Israel shall be thy name :
ויקח אליהו שׁתים עשׂרה אבנים כמספר שׁבטי בני־יעקב אשׁר היה דבר־יהוה אליו לאמר ישׂראל יהיה שׁמך - Genesis 1 35:22 - And it came to pass, when Israel dwelt in that land, that Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his father's concubine : and Israel heard it. Now the sons of Jacob were twelve :
ויהי בשׁכן ישׂראל בארץ ההוא וילך ראובן וישׁכב את־בלהה פילגשׁ אביו וישׁמע ישׂראל ויהיו בני־יעקב שׁנים עשׂר - Psalms 19 77:15 - Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.
גאלת בזרוע עמך בני־יעקב ויוסף סלה - Genesis 1 34:13 - And the sons of Jacob answered Shechem and Hamor his father deceitfully, and said , because he had defiled Dinah their sister :
ויענו בני־יעקב את־שׁכם ואת־חמור אביו במרמה וידברו אשׁר טמא את דינה אחתם
