- Numbers 4 4:38 - And those that were numbered of the sons of Gershon, throughout their families, and by the house of their fathers,
ופקודי בני גרשׁון למשׁפחותם ולבית אבתם פָּקַד Appoint, × at all, aven.. [8803] בֵּן son Afflicted, age, (Ahoh-.. גֵּרְשׁוֹן Gershon, Gershom מִשְׁפָּחָה Family, kind(-red) בַּיִת Court, daughter, door, .. אָב Chief, (fore-)father(-l.. - Numbers 4 3:17 - And these were the sons of Levi by their names ; Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari.
ויהיו־אלה בני־לוי בשׁמתם גרשׁון וקהת ומררי בֵּן son Afflicted, age, (Ahoh-.. לֵוִי Levi שֵׁם Base, (in-)fame(-ous),.. גֵּרְשׁוֹן Gershon, Gershom קְהָת Kohath מְרָרִי Merari - Numbers 4 7:7 - Two wagons and four oxen he gave unto the sons of Gershon, according to their service :
את שׁתי העגלת ואת ארבעת הבקר נתן לבני גרשׁון כפי עבדתם - Joshua 6 21:6 - And the children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
ולבני גרשׁון ממשׁפחות מטה־ישׂשׁכר וממטה־אשׁר וממטה נפתלי ומחצי מטה מנשׁה בבשׁן בגורל ערים שׁלשׁ עשׂרה - Joshua 6 21:27 - And unto the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the other half tribe of Manasseh they gave Golan in Bashan with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer ; and Beeshterah with her suburbs ; two cities.
