- 2 Chronicles 14 6:16 - Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying , There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel ; yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.
ועתה יהוה אלהי ישׂראל שׁמר לעבדך דויד אבי את אשׁר דברת לו לאמר לא־יכרת לך אישׁ מלפני יושׁב על־כסא ישׂראל רק אמ־ישׁמרו בניך את־דרכם ללכת בתורתי כאשׁר הלכת לפני - 1 Chronicles 13 11:3 - Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron ; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD ; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by Samuel.
ויבאו כל־זקני ישׂראל אל־המלך חברונה ויכרת להם דויד ברית בחברון לפני יהוה וימשׁחו את־דויד למלך על־ישׂראל כדבר יהוה ביד־שׁמואל - 2 Chronicles 14 1:9 - Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established : for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.
עתה יהוה אלהים יאמן דברך עם דויד אבי כי אתה המלכתני על־עם רב כעפר הארץ - 2 Chronicles 14 8:14 - And he appointed , according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required : the porters also by their courses at every gate : for so had David the man of God commanded.
ויעמד כמשׁפט דויד־אביו את־מחלקות הכהנים על־עבדתם והלוים על־משׁמרותם להלל ולשׁרת נגד הכהנים לדבר־יום ביומו והשׁוערים במחלקותם לשׁער ושׁער כי כן מצות דויד אישׁ־האלהים - 1 Chronicles 13 22:4 - Also cedar trees in abundance : for the Zidonians and they of Tyre brought much cedar wood to David.
