- Zechariah 38 1:5 - Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever ?
אבותיכם איה־הם והנבאים הלעולם יחיו אָב Chief, (fore-)father(-l.. נָבִיא Prophecy, that prophesy.. חָיָה Keep (leave, make) aliv.. [8799] עוֹלָם Alway(-s), ancient (tim.. - Jeremiah 24 26:7 - So the priests and the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of the LORD.
וישׁמעו הכהנים והנבאים וכל־העם את־ירמיהו מדבר את־הדברים האלה בבית יהוה - Jeremiah 24 23:15 - Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets ; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall : for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.
לכן כה־אמר יהוה צבאות על־הנבאים הנני מאכיל אותם לענה והשׁקתים מי־ראשׁ כי מאת נביאי ירושׁלם יצאה חנפה לכל־הארץ - Jeremiah 24 27:16 - Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying , Thus saith the LORD ; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying , Behold, the vessels of the LORD'S house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon : for they prophesy a lie unto you.
ואל־הכהנים ואל־כל־העם הזה דברתי לאמר כה אמר יהוה אל־תשׁמעו אל־דברי נביאיכם הנבאים לכם לאמר הנה כלי בית־יהוה מושׁבים מבבלה עתה מהרה כי שׁקר המה נבאים לכם - 2 Chronicles 14 18:5 - Therefore the king of Israel gathered together of prophets four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go to Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear ? And they said , Go up ; for God will deliver it into the king's hand.
