- Nehemiah 16 9:19 - Yet thou in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness : the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way ; neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them light , and the way wherein they should go .
ואתה ברחמיך הרבים לא עזבתם במדבר את־עמוד הענן לא־סר מעליהם ביומם להנחתם בהדרך ואת־עמוד האשׁ בלילה להאיר להם ואת־הדרך אשׁר ילכו־בה - Isaiah 23 8:7 - Now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory : and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks :
ולכן הנה אדני מעלה עליהם את־מי הנהר העצומים והרבים את־מלך אשׁור ואת־כל־כבודו ועלה על־כל־אפיקיו והלך על־כל־גדותיו - Daniel 27 9:18 - O my God, incline thine ear, and hear ; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations , and the city which is called by thy name : for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.
הטה אלהי אזנך ושׁמע פקחה עיניך וראה שׁממתינו והעיר אשׁר־נקרא שׁמך עליה כי לא על־צדקתינו אנחנו מפילים תחנונינו לפניך כי על־רחמיך הרבים - Nehemiah 16 9:31 - Nevertheless for thy great mercies ' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God.
וברחמיך הרבים לא־עשׂיתם כלה ולא עזבתם כי אל־חנון ורחום אתה - 1 Kings 11 18:25 - And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress it first ; for ye are many ; and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire under.
