- Joshua 6 8:6 - till we have drawn them from the city ; for they will say , They flee before us, as at the first : therefore we will flee before them.
ויצאו אחרינו עד התיקנו אותם מנ־העיר כי יאמרו נסים לפנינו כאשׁר בראשׁנה ונסנו לפניהם - 2 Kings 12 7:12 - And the king arose in the night, and said unto his servants, I will now shew you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we be hungry ; therefore are they gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying , When they come out of the city, we shall catch them alive, and get into the city.
ויקם המלך לילה ויאמר אל־עבדיו אגידה־נא לכם את אשׁר־עשׂו לנו ארם ידעו כי־רעבים אנחנו ויצאו מנ־המחנה להחבה בהשׂדה לאמר כי־יצאו מנ־העיר ונתפשׂם חיים ואל־העיר נבא - 1 Samuel 9 23:13 - Then David and his men, which were about six hundred , arose and departed out of Keilah, and went whithersoever they could go . And it was told Saul that David was escaped from Keilah ; and he forbare to go forth .
ויקם דוד ואנשׁיו כשׁשׁ־מאות אישׁ ויצאו מקעלה ויתהלכו באשׁר יתהלכו ולשׁאול הגד כי־נמלט דוד מקעילה ויחדל לצאת - Exodus 2 15:22 - So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur ; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
ויסע משׁה את־ישׂראל מימ־סוף ויצאו אל־מדבר־שׁור וילכו שׁלשׁת־ימים במדבר ולא־מצאו מים - Joshua 6 8:14 - And it came to pass, when the king of Ai saw it, that they hasted and rose up early , and the men of the city went out against Israel to battle, he and all his people, at a time appointed, before the plain ; but he wist not that there were liers in ambush against him behind the city.
