- Jeremiah 24 44:8 - In that ye provoke me unto wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt, whither ye be gone to dwell , that ye might cut yourselves off , and that ye might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth ?
להכעסני במעשׂי ידיכם לקטר לאלהים אחרים בארץ מצרים אשׁר־אתם באים לגור שׁם למען הכרית לכם ולמען היותכם לקללה ולחרפה בכל גויי הארץ - Deuteronomy 5 5:16 - Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged , and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
