- Ecclesiastes 21 1:11 - There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.
אין זכרון לראשׁנים וגם לאחרנים שׁיהיו לא־יהיה להם זכרון עם שׁיהיו לאחרנה זִכְרוֹן Memorial, record רִאשׁוֹן Ancestor, (that were) b.. זִכְרוֹן Memorial, record אַחֲרוֹן After(-ward), to come, .. אַחֲרוֹן After(-ward), to come, .. - Ecclesiastes 21 2:16 - For there is no remembrance of the wise more than of the fool for ever ; seeing that which now is in the days to come shall all be forgotten . And how dieth the wise man? as the fool.
כי אין זכרון לחכם עמ־הכסיל לעולם בשׁכבר הימים הבאים הכל נשׁכח ואיך ימות החכם עמ־הכסיל - Exodus 2 13:9 - And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the LORD'S law may be in thy mouth : for with a strong hand hath the LORD brought thee out of Egypt.
והיה לך לאות על־ידך ולזכרון בין עיניך למען תהיה תורת יהוה בפיך כי ביד חזקה הוצאך יהוה ממצרים - Numbers 4 5:15 - Then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal ; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense thereon; for it is an offering of jealousy, an offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance .
והביא האישׁ את־אשׁתו אל־הכהן והביא את־קרבנה עליה עשׂירת האיפה קמח שׂערים לא־יצק עליו שׁמן ולא־יתן עליו לבנה כי־מנחת קנאת הוא מנחת זכרון מזכרת עון - Nehemiah 16 2:20 - Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build : but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem.
