- Psalms 19 106:24 - Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not his word :
וימאסו בארץ חמדה לא־האמינו לדברו מָאַס Abhor, cast away (off),.. [8799] חֶמְדָּה Desire, goodly, pleasan.. אֶרֶץ earth × common, country, eart.. אָמַן Hence, assurance, belie.. [8689] דָּבָר Act, advice, affair, an.. - 1 Samuel 9 15:23 - For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
כי חטאת־קסם מרי ואון ותרפים הפצר יען מאסת את־דבר יהוה וימאסך ממלך - 1 Samuel 9 15:26 - And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD hath rejected thee from being king over Israel.
ויאמר שׁמואל אל־שׁאול לא אשׁוב עמך כי מאסתה את־דבר יהוה וימאסך יהוה מהיות מלך על־ישׂראל - Job 18 36:5 - Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: he is mighty in strength and wisdom.
הנ־אל כביר ולא ימאס כביר כח לב - Psalms 19 36:4 - He deviseth mischief upon his bed ; he setteth himself in a way that is not good ; he abhorreth not evil.
