- Ecclesiastes 21 9:12 - For man also knoweth not his time : as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare ; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.
כי גם לא־ידע האדם את־עתו כדגים שׁנאחזים במצודה רעה וכצפרים האחזות בפח כהם יוקשׁים בני האדם לעת רעה כשׁתפול עליהם פתאם - Numbers 4 29:33 - And their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner :
ומנחתם ונסכהם לפרים לאילם ולכבשׂים במספרם כמשׁפטם - 2 Samuel 10 24:3 - And Joab said unto the king, Now the LORD thy God add unto the people, how many soever they be, an hundredfold , and that the eyes of my lord the king may see it: but why doth my lord the king delight in this thing ?
ויאמר יואב אל־המלך ויוסף יהוה אלהיך אל־העם כהם וכהם מאה פעמים ועיני אדני־המלך ראות ואדני המלך למה חפץ בדבר הזה - 2 Chronicles 14 9:11 - And the king made of the algum trees terraces to the house of the LORD, and to the king's palace, and harps and psalteries for singers : and there were none such seen before in the land of Judah.
ויעשׂ המלך את־עצי האלגומים מסלות לבית־יהוה ולבית המלך וכנרות ונבלים לשׁרים ולא־נראו כהם לפנים בארץ יהודה - 1 Chronicles 13 21:3 - And Joab answered , The LORD make his people an hundred times so many more as they be: but, my lord the king, are they not all my lord's servants ? why then doth my lord require this thing? why will he be a cause of trespass to Israel ?
