- Jeremiah 24 2:26 - As the thief is ashamed when he is found , so is the house of Israel ashamed ; they, their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets,
כבשׁת גנב כי ימצא כן הבישׁו בית ישׂראל המה מלכיהם שׂריהם וכהניהם ונביאיהם - Lamentations 25 4:13 - For the sins of her prophets, and the iniquities of her priests, that have shed the blood of the just in the midst of her,
מחטאת נביאיה עונות כהניה השׁפכים בקרבה דם צדיקים - Ezekiel 26 22:26 - Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things : they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.
כהניה חמסו תורתי ויחללו קדשׁי בינ־קדשׁ לחל לא הבדילו ובינ־הטמא לטהור לא הודיעו ומשׁבתותי העלימו עיניהם ואחל בתוכם - Jeremiah 24 1:18 - For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.
ואני הנה נתתיך היום לעיר מבצר ולעמוד ברזל ולחמות נחשׁת על־כל־הארץ למלכי יהודה לשׂריה לכהניה ולעם הארץ - Psalms 19 132:16 - I will also clothe her priests with salvation : and her saints shall shout aloud for joy .
