- Isaiah 23 6:2 - Above it stood the seraphims : each one had six wings ; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly .
שׂרפים עמדים ממעל לו שׁשׁ כנפים שׁשׁ כנפים לאחד בשׁתים יכסה פניו ובשׁתים יכסה רגליו ובשׁתים יעופף - Exodus 2 25:20 - And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another ; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.
והיו הכרבים פרשׂי כנפים למעלה סככים בכנפיהם על־הכפרת ופניהם אישׁ אל־אחיו אל־הכפרת יהיו פני הכרבים - Ezekiel 26 17:3 - And say , Thus saith the Lord GOD ; A great eagle with great wings, longwinged , full of feathers, which had divers colours, came unto Lebanon, and took the highest branch of the cedar :
ואמרת כה־אמר אדני יהוה הנשׁר הגדול גדול הכנפים ארך האבר מלא הנוצה אשׁר־לו הרקמה בא אל־הלבנון ויקח את־צמרת הארז - Ezekiel 26 17:7 - There was also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers : and, behold, this vine did bend her roots toward him, and shot forth her branches toward him, that he might water it by the furrows of her plantation.
ויהי נשׁר־אחד גדול גדול כנפים ורב־נוצה והנה הגפן הזאת כפנה שׁרשׁיה עליו ודליותיו שׁלחה־לו להשׁקות אותה מערגות מטעה - Isaiah 23 18:1 - Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia :
הוי ארץ צלצל כנפים אשׁר מעבר לנהרי־כושׁ
