- 2 Chronicles 14 24:19 - Yet he sent prophets to them, to bring them again unto the LORD ; and they testified against them: but they would not give ear .
וישׁלח בהם נבאים להשׁיבם אל־יהוה ויעידו בם ולא האזינו - Nehemiah 16 9:29 - And testifiedst against them, that thou mightest bring them again unto thy law : yet they dealt proudly , and hearkened not unto thy commandments, but sinned against thy judgments, and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear .
ותעד בהם להשׁיבם אל־תורתך והמה הזידו ולא־שׁמעו למצותיך ובמשׁפטיך חטאו־בם אשׁר־יעשׂה אדם וחיה בהם ויתנו כתף סוררת וערפם הקשׁו ולא שׁמעו - Nehemiah 16 9:26 - Nevertheless they were disobedient , and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their backs, and slew thy prophets which testified against them to turn them to thee, and they wrought great provocations.
