- 1 Samuel 9 25:30 - And it shall come to pass, when the LORD shall have done to my lord according to all the good that he hath spoken concerning thee, and shall have appointed thee ruler over Israel ;
והיה כי־יעשׂה יהוה לאדני ככל אשׁר־דבר את־הטובה עליך וצוך לנגיד על־ישׂראל - 1 Chronicles 13 5:2 - For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler ; but the birthright was Joseph's :>
כי יהודה גבר באחיו ולנגיד ממנו והבכרה ליוסף יְהוּדָה Judah גָּבַר Exceed, confirm, be gre.. [8804] אָח Another, brother(-ly); .. נָגִיד prince, chief ruler ca... ויעמד לראשׁ רחבעם את־אביה בנ־מעכה לנגיד באחיו כי להמליכו - 1 Samuel 9 13:14 - But now thy kingdom shall not continue : the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.
ועתה ממלכתך לא־תקום בקשׁ יהוה לו אישׁ כלבבו ויצוהו יהוה לנגיד על־עמו כי לא שׁמרת את אשׁר־צוך יהוה - 1 Chronicles 13 28:4 - Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever : for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler ; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father ; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make me king over all Israel :
