- Deuteronomy 5 18:16 - According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying , Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
ככל אשׁר־שׁאלת מעם יהוה אלהיך בחרב ביום הקהל לאמר לא אסף לשׁמע את־קול יהוה אלהי ואת־האשׁ הגדלה הזאת לא־אראה עוד ולא אמות - Judges 7 2:17 - And yet they would not hearken unto their judges , but they went a whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in , obeying the commandments of the LORD ; but they did not so.
וגם אל־שׁפטיהם לא שׁמעו כי זנו אחרי אלהים אחרים וישׁתחוו להם סרו מהר מנ־הדרך אשׁר הלכו אבותם לשׁמע מצות־יהוה לא־עשׂו כן - 2 Samuel 10 14:17 - Then thine handmaid said , The word of my lord the king shall now be comfortable : for as an angel of God, so is my lord the king to discern good and bad : therefore the LORD thy God will be with thee.
ותאמר שׁפחתך יהיה־נא דבר־אדני המלך למנוחה כי כמלאך האלהים כן אדני המלך לשׁמע הטוב והרע ויהוה אלהיך יהי עמך - Deuteronomy 5 23:5 - Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam ; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee.
