- 2 Chronicles 14 23:17 - Then all the people went to the house of Baal, and brake it down , and brake his altars and his images in pieces , and slew Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars.
ויבאו כל־העם בית־הבעל ויתצהו ואת־מזבחתיו ואת־צלמיו שׁברו ואת מתן כהן הבעל הרגו לפני המזבחות - Numbers 4 3:31 - And their charge shall be the ark, and the table, and the candlestick, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary wherewith they minister , and the hanging, and all the service thereof.
ומשׁמרתם הארן והשׁלחן והמנרה והמזבחת וכלי הקדשׁ אשׁר ישׁרתו בהם והמסך וכל עבדתו - 2 Kings 12 21:3 - For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed ; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel ; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.

וככלות כל־זאת יצאו כל־ישׂראל הנמצאים לערי יהודה וישׁברו המצבות ויגדעו האשׁרים וינתצו את־הבמות ואת־המזבחת מכל־יהודה ובנימן ובאפרים ומנשׁה עד־לכלה וישׁובו כל־בני ישׂראל אישׁ לאחזתו לעריהם
