- Psalms 19 68:2 - As smoke is driven away , so drive them away : as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
כהנדף עשׁן תנדף כהמס דונג מפני־אשׁ יאבדו רשׁעים מפני אלהים - Job 18 13:25 - Wilt thou break a leaf driven to and fro ? and wilt thou pursue the dry stubble ?
העלה נדף תערוץ ואת־קשׁ יבשׁ תרדף עָרַץ Be affrighted (afraid, .. [8799] עָלֶה Branch, leaf נָדַף Drive (away, to and fro.. [8737] רָדַף Chase, put to flight, f.. [8799] יָבֵשׁ Dried (away), dry קַשׁ Stubble - Isaiah 23 41:2 - Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings ? he gave them as the dust to his sword, and as driven stubble to his bow.
