- Exodus 2 20:26 - Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.
ולא־תעלה במעלת על־מזבחי אשׁר לא־תגלה ערותך עליו עָלָה Arise (up), (cause to) .. [8799] מַעֲלָה Things that come up, (h.. מִזְבֵּחַ Altar עֶרְוָה Nakedness, shame, uncle.. גָּלָה Advertise, appear, bewr.. [8735] - Isaiah 23 56:7 - Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer : their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar ; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
והביאותים אל־הר קדשׁי ושׂמחתים בבית תפלתי עולתיהם וזבחיהם לרצון על־מזבחי כי ביתי בית־תפלה יקרא לכל־העמים - Malachi 39 1:7 - Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar ; and ye say , Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say , The table of the LORD is contemptible .
מגישׁים על־מזבחי לחם מגאל ואמרתם במה גאלנוך באמרכם שׁלחן יהוה נבזה הוא - 1 Samuel 9 2:28 - And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel ?
