- Deuteronomy 5 14:6 - And every beast that parteth the hoof, and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, and cheweth the cud among the beasts, that ye shall eat .
וכל־בהמה מפרסת פרסה ושׁסעת שׁסע שׁתי פרסות מעלת גרה בבהמה אתה תאכלו - Deuteronomy 5 14:8 - And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase.
ואת־החזיר כי־מפריס פרסה הוא ולא גרה טמא הוא לכם מבשׂרם לא תאכלו ובנבלתם לא תגעו - Exodus 2 10:26 - Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left behind ; for thereof must we take to serve the LORD our God ; and we know not with what we must serve the LORD, until we come thither.
וגמ־מקננו ילך עמנו לא תשׁאר פרסה כי ממנו נקח לעבד את־יהוה אלהינו ואנחנו לא־נדע מה־נעבד את־יהוה עד־באנו שׁמה - Leviticus 3 11:5 - And the coney, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof ; he is unclean unto you.
