- Numbers 4 16:10 - And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also?
ויקרב אתך ואת־כל־אחיך בני־לוי אתך ובקשׁתם גמ־כהנה קָרַב (cause to) approach, (c.. [8686] אָח Another, brother(-ly); .. בֵּן son Afflicted, age, (Ahoh-.. לֵוִי Levi בָּקַשׁ Ask, beg, beseech, desi.. והנה שׁבע־פרות אחרות עלות אחריהן דלות ורעות תאר מאד ורקות בשׂר לא־ראיתי כהנה בכל־ארץ מצרים לרע - Ezra 15 2:62 - These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy , but they were not found : therefore were they, as polluted , put from the priesthood.
