- Jeremiah 24 38:12 - And Ebedmelech the Ethiopian said unto Jeremiah, Put now these old cast clouts and rotten rags under thine armholes under the cords. And Jeremiah did so.
ויאמר עבד־מלך הכושׁי אל־ירמיהו שׂים נא בלואי הסחבות והמלחים תחת אצלות ידיך מתחת לחבלים ויעשׂ ירמיהו כן - Jeremiah 24 38:11 - So Ebedmelech took the men with him, and went into the house of the king under the treasury, and took thence old cast clouts and old rotten rags, and let them down by cords into the dungeon to Jeremiah.
ויקח עבד־מלך את־האנשׁים בידו ויבא בית־המלך אל־תחת האוצר ויקח משׁם בלוי הסחבות ובלוי מלחים וישׁלחם אל־ירמיהו אל־הבור בחבלים - Jonah 32 1:5 - Then the mariners were afraid , and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship ; and he lay , and was fast asleep .
וייראו המלחים ויזעקו אישׁ אל־אלהיו ויטלו את־הכלים אשׁר באניה אל־הים להקל מעליהם ויונה ירד אל־ירכתי הספינה וישׁכב וירדם - Ezekiel 26 27:29 - And all that handle the oar, the mariners, and all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships, they shall stand upon the land ;
וירדו מאניותיהם כל תפשׂי משׁוט מלחים כל חבלי הים אל־הארץ יעמדו
