- Jeremiah 24 50:32 - And the most proud shall stumble and fall , and none shall raise him up : and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all round about him.
וכשׁל זדון ונפל ואין לו מקים והצתי אשׁ בעריו ואכלה כל־סביבתיו - Jeremiah 24 49:1 - Concerning the Ammonites , thus saith the LORD ; Hath Israel no sons ? hath he no heir ? why then doth their king inherit Gad, and his people dwell in his cities ?
לבני עמון כה אמר יהוה הבנים אין לישׂראל אמ־יורשׁ אין לו מדוע ירשׁ מלכם את־גד ועמו בעריו ישׁב - Hosea 28 8:14 - For Israel hath forgotten his Maker , and buildeth temples ; and Judah hath multiplied fenced cities : but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.
וישׁכח ישׂראל את־עשׂהו ויבן היכלות ויהודה הרבה ערים בצרות ושׁלחתי־אשׁ בעריו ואכלה ארמנתיה - Hosea 28 11:6 - And the sword shall abide on his cities, and shall consume his branches, and devour them, because of their own counsels.
וחלה חרב בעריו וכלתה בדיו ואכלה ממעצותיהם - Jeremiah 24 31:23 - Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel ; As yet they shall use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity ; The LORD bless thee, O habitation of justice, and mountain of holiness.
