- 1 Samuel 9 8:11 - And he said , This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen ; and some shall run before his chariots.
ויאמר זה יהיה משׁפט המלך אשׁר ימלך עליכם את־בניכם יקח ושׂם לו במרכבתו ובפרשׁיו ורצו לפני מרכבתו - Exodus 2 14:18 - And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.
וידעו מצרים כי־אני יהוה בהכבדי בפרעה ברכבו ובפרשׁיו - Exodus 2 14:17 - And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them : and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.
ואני הנני מחזק את־לב מצרים ויבאו אחריהם ואכבדה בפרעה ובכל־חילו ברכבו ובפרשׁיו - Exodus 2 15:19 - For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.
