- Song of Solomon 22 8:6 - Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm : for love is strong as death ; jealousy is cruel as the grave : the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.
שׂימני כחותם על־לבך כחותם על־זרועך כי־עזה כמות אהבה קשׁה כשׁאול קנאה רשׁפיה רשׁפי אשׁ שׁלהבתיה - Habakkuk 35 2:5 - Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home , who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied , but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people :
ואף כי־היין בוגד גבר יהיר ולא ינוה אשׁר הרחיב כשׁאול נפשׁו והוא כמות ולא ישׂבע ויאסף אליו כל־הגוים ויקבץ אליו כל־העמים - Proverbs 20 1:12 - Let us swallow them up alive as the grave ; and whole, as those that go down into the pit :
