- 1 Samuel 9 23:9 - And David knew that Saul secretly practised mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest, Bring hither the ephod.
וידע דוד כי עליו שׁאול מחרישׁ הרעה ויאמר אל־אביתר הכהן הגישׁה האפוד - Judges 7 17:5 - And the man Micah had an house of gods, and made an ephod, and teraphim, and consecrated one of his sons, who became his priest.
והאישׁ מיכה לו בית אלהים ויעשׂ אפוד ותרפים וימלא את־יד אחד מבניו ויהי־לו לכהן - Hosea 28 3:4 - For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim :
