- Genesis 1 13:10 - And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.
וישׂא־לוט את־עיניו וירא את־כל־ככר הירדן כי כלה משׁקה לפני שׁחת יהוה את־סדם ואת־עמרה כגנ־יהוה כארץ מצרים באכה צער - Jeremiah 24 50:40 - As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD ; so shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein.
