- Ezra 15 9:7 - Since the days of our fathers have we been in a great trespass unto this day ; and for our iniquities have we, our kings, and our priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to a spoil, and to confusion of face, as it is this day.
מימי אבתינו אנחנו באשׁמה גדלה עד היום הזה ובעונתינו נתנו אנחנו מלכינו כהנינו ביד מלכי הארצות בחרב בשׁבי ובבזה ובבשׁת פנים כהיום הזה - 2 Chronicles 14 32:21 - And the LORD sent an angel, which cut off all the mighty men of valour, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he was come into the house of his god, they that came forth of his own bowels slew him there with the sword.
