- Deuteronomy 5 30:19 - I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing : therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live :
העידתי בכם היום את־השׁמים ואת־הארץ החיים והמות נתתי לפניך הברכה והקללה ובחרת בחיים למען תחיה אתה וזרעך - Ecclesiastes 21 9:9 - Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity : for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.
ראה חיים עמ־אשׁה אשׁר־אהבת כל־ימי חיי הבלך אשׁר נתנ־לך תחת השׁמשׁ כל ימי הבלך כי הוא חלקך בחיים ובעמלך אשׁר־אתה עמל תחת השׁמשׁ - Ecclesiastes 21 6:12 - For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow ? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun ?

השׂם נפשׁנו בחיים ולא־נתן למוט רגלנו - Psalms 19 17:14 - From men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.
