- Genesis 1 20:1 - And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.
ויסע משׁם אברהם ארצה הנגב וישׁב בינ־קדשׁ ובין שׁור ויגר בגרר - Ezekiel 26 22:26 - Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things : they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.
כהניה חמסו תורתי ויחללו קדשׁי בינ־קדשׁ לחל לא הבדילו ובינ־הטמא לטהור לא הודיעו ומשׁבתותי העלימו עיניהם ואחל בתוכם - Genesis 1 16:14 - Wherefore the well was called Beerlahairoi ; behold, it is between Kadesh and Bered.
