- Exodus 2 24:2 - And Moses alone shall come near the LORD : but they shall not come nigh ; neither shall the people go up with him.
ונגשׁ משׁה לבדו אל־יהוה והם לא יגשׁו והעם לא יעלו עמו - Deuteronomy 5 31:16 - And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers ; and this people will rise up , and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.
ויאמר יהוה אל־משׁה הנך שׁכב עמ־אבתיך וקם העם הזה וזנה אחרי אלהי נכר־הארץ אשׁר הוא בא־שׁמה בקרבו ועזבני והפר את־בריתי אשׁר כרתי אתו - Nehemiah 16 7:72 - And that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pound of silver, and threescore and seven priests ' garments.
ואשׁר נתנו שׁארית העם זהב דרכמונים שׁתי רבוא וכסף מנים אלפים וכתנת כהנים שׁשׁים ושׁבעה - 1 Samuel 9 8:7 - And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.
ויאמר יהוה אל־שׁמואל שׁמע בקול העם לכל אשׁר־יאמרו אליך כי לא אתך מאסו כי־אתי מאסו ממלך עליהם - 2 Chronicles 14 35:12 - And they removed the burnt offerings, that they might give according to the divisions of the families of the people , to offer unto the LORD, as it is written in the book of Moses.
