- Ecclesiastes 21 12:3 - In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble , and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few , and those that look out of the windows be darkened ,
ביום שׁיזעו שׁמרי הבית והתעותו אנשׁי החיל ובטלו הטחנות כי מעטו וחשׁכו הראות בארבות - Jeremiah 24 29:6 - Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters ; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters ; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished .
קחו נשׁים והולידו בנים ובנות וקחו לבניכם נשׁים ואת־בנותיכם תנו לאנשׁים ותלדנה בנים ובנות ורבו־שׁם ואל־תמעטו - Jeremiah 24 30:19 - And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry : and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few ; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small .
ויצא מהם תודה וקול משׂחקים והרבתים ולא ימעטו והכבדתים ולא יצערו - Psalms 19 107:39 - Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
וימעטו וישׁחו מעצר רעה ויגון מָעַט Suffer to decrease, dim.. [8799] שָׁחַח Bend, bow (down), bring.. [8799] עֹצֶר × barren, oppression, ×.. רַע Adversity, affliction, .. יָגוֹן Grief, sorrow - Isaiah 23 21:17 - And the residue of the number of archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be diminished : for the LORD God of Israel hath spoken it.
