- Exodus 2 30:35 - And thou shalt make it a perfume, a confection after the art of the apothecary , tempered together, pure and holy :
ועשׂית אתה קטרת רקח מעשׂה רוקח ממלח טהור קדשׁ - Nehemiah 16 3:8 - Next unto him repaired Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, of the goldsmiths . Next unto him also repaired Hananiah the son of one of the apothecaries, and they fortified Jerusalem unto the broad wall.
על־ידו החזיק עזיאל בנ־חרהיה צורפים ועל־ידו החזיק חנניה בנ־הרקחים ויעזבו ירושׁלם עד החומה הרחבה - Isaiah 23 57:9 - And thou wentest to the king with ointment, and didst increase thy perfumes, and didst send thy messengers far off, and didst debase thyself even unto hell.
