- Isaiah 23 49:8 - Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages ;
כה אמר יהוה בעת רצון עניתיך וביום ישׁועה עזרתיך ואצרך ואתנך לברית עם להקים ארץ להנחיל נחלות שׁממות - Jeremiah 24 25:12 - And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished , that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.
והיה כמלאות שׁבעים שׁנה אפקד על־מלכ־בבל ועל־הגוי ההוא נאמ־יהוה את־עונם ועל־ארץ כשׂדים ושׂמתי אתו לשׁממות עולם - Ezekiel 26 35:9 - I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return : and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
שׁממות עולם אתנך ועריך לא תישׁבנה וידעתם כי־אני יהוה - Isaiah 23 61:4 - And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations , and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
ובנו חרבות עולם שׁממות ראשׁנים יקוממו וחדשׁו ערי חרב שׁממות דור ודור - Jeremiah 24 51:26 - And they shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations ; but thou shalt be desolate for ever, saith the LORD.
