- Proverbs 20 23:2 - And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite.
ושׂמת שׂכין בלעך אמ־בעל נפשׁ אתה שׂוּם × any wise, appoint, br.. [8804] שַׂכִּין Knife לֹעַ Throat בַּעַל Archer, babbler, bir.. נֶפֶשׁ Any, appetite, beast, b.. - Isaiah 23 28:17 - Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet : and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
ושׂמתי משׁפט לקו וצדקה למשׁקלת ויעה ברד מחסה כזב וסתר מים ישׁטפו - Jeremiah 24 2:7 - And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered , ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination.
ואביא אתכם אל־ארץ הכרמל לאכל פריה וטובה ותבאו ותטמאו את־ארצי ונחלתי שׂמתם לתועבה - Amos 30 9:4 - And though they go into captivity before their enemies , thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.
