- Genesis 1 27:27 - And he came near , and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said , See , the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the LORD hath blessed :
ויגשׁ וישׁק־לו וירח את־ריח בגדיו ויברכהו ויאמר ראה ריח בני כריח שׂדה אשׁר ברכו יהוה - Genesis 1 8:21 - And the LORD smelled a sweet savour ; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake ; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth ; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done .
וירח יהוה את־ריח הניחח ויאמר יהוה אל־לבו לא־אסף לקלל עוד את־האדמה בעבור האדם כי יצר לב האדם רע מנעריו ולא־אסף עוד להכות את־כל־חי כאשׁר עשׂיתי - Exodus 2 5:21 - And they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge ; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.
