- Exodus 2 18:12 - And Jethro, Moses ' father in law , took a burnt offering and sacrifices for God : and Aaron came , and all the elders of Israel, to eat bread with Moses ' father in law before God.
ויקח יתרו חתן משׁה עלה וזבחים לאלהים ויבא אהרן וכל זקני ישׂראל לאכל־לחם עמ־חתן משׁה לפני האלהים - 1 Samuel 9 15:22 - And Samuel said , Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD ? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
ויאמר שׁמואל החפץ ליהוה בעלות וזבחים כשׁמע בקול יהוה הנה שׁמע מזבח טוב להקשׁיב מחלב אילים - 1 Chronicles 13 29:21 - And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings unto the LORD, on the morrow after that day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel :
