- 1 Samuel 9 7:13 - So the Philistines were subdued , and they came no more into the coast of Israel : and the hand of the LORD was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.
ויכנעו הפלשׁתים ולא־יספו עוד לבוא בגבול ישׂראל ותהי יד־יהוה בפלשׁתים כל ימי שׁמואל - 2 Chronicles 14 7:14 - If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray , and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways ; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
ויכנעו עמי אשׁר נקרא־שׁמי עליהם ויתפללו ויבקשׁו פני וישׁבו מדרכיהם הרעים ואני אשׁמע מנ־השׁמים ואסלח לחטאתם וארפא את־ארצם - 1 Chronicles 13 20:4 - And it came to pass after this, that there arose war at Gezer with the Philistines ; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai, that was of the children of the giant : and they were subdued .
