- Deuteronomy 5 28:62 - And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude ; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the LORD thy God.
ונשׁארתם במתי מעט תחת אשׁר הייתם ככוכבי השׁמים לרב כי־לא שׁמעת בקול יהוה אלהיך - Jeremiah 24 37:10 - For though ye had smitten the whole army of the Chaldeans that fight against you, and there remained but wounded men among them, yet should they rise up every man in his tent, and burn this city with fire.
כי אמ־הכיתם כל־חיל כשׂדים הנלחמים אתכם ונשׁארו בם אנשׁים מדקרים אישׁ באהלו יקומו ושׂרפו את־העיר הזאת באשׁ - Isaiah 23 24:6 - Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate : therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned , and few men left .
על־כן אלה אכלה ארץ ויאשׁמו ישׁבי בה על־כן חרו ישׁבי ארץ ונשׁאר אנושׁ מזער - Deuteronomy 5 4:27 - And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you.
