- Jonah 32 1:6 - So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper ? arise , call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.
ויקרב אליו רב החבל ויאמר לו מה־לך נרדם קום קרא אל־אלהיך אולי יתעשׁת האלהים לנו ולא נאבד - 1 Kings 11 17:12 - And she said , As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse : and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die .
ותאמר חי־יהוה אלהיך אמ־ישׁ־לי מעוג כי אמ־מלא כפ־קמח בכד ומעט־שׁמן בצפחת והנני מקשׁשׁת שׁנים עצים ובאתי ועשׂיתיהו לי ולבני ואכלנהו ומתנו - Deuteronomy 5 7:18 - Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt ;
לא תירא מהם זכר תזכר את אשׁר־עשׂה יהוה אלהיך לפרעה ולכל־מצרים - Deuteronomy 5 5:9 - Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,
לא־תשׁתחוה להם ולא תעבדם כי אנכי יהוה אלהיך אל קנא פקד עון אבות על־בנים ועל־שׁלשׁים ועל־רבעים לשׂנאי - Deuteronomy 5 12:7 - And there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.
