- Genesis 1 29:31 - And when the LORD saw that Leah was hated , he opened her womb : but Rachel was barren.
וירא יהוה כי־שׂנואה לאה ויפתח את־רחמה ורחל עקרה - Genesis 1 31:34 - Now Rachel had taken the images, and put them in the camel's furniture, and sat upon them. And Laban searched all the tent, but found them not.
ורחל לקחה את־התרפים ותשׂמם בכר הגמל ותשׁב עליהם וימשׁשׁ לבן את־כל־האהל ולא מצא - Genesis 1 29:17 - Leah was tender eyed ; but Rachel was beautiful and well favoured.
