- Genesis 1 37:6 - And he said unto them, Hear , I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed :
ויאמר אליהם שׁמעו־נא החלום הזה אשׁר חלמתי אָמַר "to say/speak/utter" Answer, appoint, avouch.. [8799] שָׁמַע × attentively, call (ga.. [8798] חֲלוֹם Dream(-er) חָלַם (cause to) dream(-er), .. [8804] - Genesis 1 37:10 - And he told it to his father, and to his brethren : and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed ? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth ?
ויספר אל־אביו ואל־אחיו ויגער־בו אביו ויאמר לו מה החלום הזה אשׁר חלמת הבוא נבוא אני ואמך ואחיך להשׁתחות לך ארצה - Genesis 1 37:20 - Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say , Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.
ועתה לכו ונהרגהו ונשׁלכהו באחד הברות ואמרנו חיה רעה אכלתהו ונראה מה־יהיו חלמתיו - Jeremiah 24 29:8 - For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel ; Let not your prophets and your diviners , that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed .
כי כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישׂראל אל־ישׁיאו לכם נביאיכם אשׁר־בקרבכם וקסמיכם ואל־תשׁמעו אל־חלמתיכם אשׁר אתם מחלמים - Jeremiah 24 23:25 - I have heard what the prophets said , that prophesy lies in my name, saying , I have dreamed , I have dreamed .
שׁמעתי את אשׁר־אמרו הנבאים הנבאים בשׁמי שׁקר לאמר חלמתי חלמתי
