- Genesis 1 27:42 - And these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah : and she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, doth comfort himself, purposing to kill thee.
ויגד לרבקה את־דברי עשׂו בנה הגדל ותשׁלח ותקרא ליעקב בנה הקטן ותאמר אליו הנה עשׂו אחיך מתנחם לך להרגך - Exodus 2 2:14 - And he said , Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian ? And Moses feared , and said , Surely this thing is known .
ויאמר מי שׂמך לאישׁ שׂר ושׁפט עלינו הלהרגני אתה אמר כאשׁר הרגת את־המצרי ויירא משׁה ויאמר אכן נודע הדבר - Proverbs 20 24:11 - If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain ;
