- Proverbs 20 23:21 - For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty : and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.
כי־סבא וזולל יורשׁ וקרעים תלבישׁ נומה סָבָא Drunkard, fill self, Sa.. [8802] זָלַל Blow down, glutton, rio.. [8802] יָרַשׁ Cast out, consume, dest.. [8735] נוּמָה Drowsiness לָבַשׁ (in) apparel, arm, arra.. [8686] קֶרַע Piece, rag - 1 Kings 11 11:31 - And he said to Jeroboam, Take thee ten pieces : for thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to thee:
ויאמר לירבעם קח־לך עשׂרה קרעים כי כה אמר יהוה אלהי ישׂראל הנני קרע את־הממלכה מיד שׁלמה ונתתי לך את עשׂרה השׁבטים - 1 Samuel 9 4:12 - And there ran a man of Benjamin out of the army, and came to Shiloh the same day with his clothes rent , and with earth upon his head.
וירץ אישׁ־בנימן מהמערכה ויבא שׁלה ביום ההוא ומדיו קרעים ואדמה על־ראשׁו - 2 Kings 12 2:12 - And Elisha saw it, and he cried , My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
ואלישׁע ראה והוא מצעק אבי אבי רכב ישׂראל ופרשׁיו ולא ראהו עוד ויחזק בבגדיו ויקרעם לשׁנים קרעים - 1 Kings 11 11:30 - And Ahijah caught the new garment that was on him, and rent it in twelve pieces :
