- 2 Kings 12 2:12 - And Elisha saw it, and he cried , My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
ואלישׁע ראה והוא מצעק אבי אבי רכב ישׂראל ופרשׁיו ולא ראהו עוד ויחזק בבגדיו ויקרעם לשׁנים קרעים - 1 Kings 11 11:31 - And he said to Jeroboam, Take thee ten pieces : for thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to thee:
ויאמר לירבעם קח־לך עשׂרה קרעים כי כה אמר יהוה אלהי ישׂראל הנני קרע את־הממלכה מיד שׁלמה ונתתי לך את עשׂרה השׁבטים - Joel 29 2:13 - And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God : for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
וקרעו לבבכם ואל־בגדיכם ושׁובו אל־יהוה אלהיכם כי־חנון ורחום הוא ארך אפים ורב־חסד ונחם על־הרעה - Numbers 4 14:6 - And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes :
