- Genesis 1 28:19 - And he called the name of that place Bethel : but the name of that city was called Luz at the first.
ויקרא את־שׁמ־המקום ההוא בית־אל ואולם לוז שׁמ־העיר לראשׁנה - Judges 7 1:17 - And Judah went with Simeon his brother, and they slew the Canaanites that inhabited Zephath, and utterly destroyed it. And the name of the city was called Hormah.
וילך יהודה את־שׁמעון אחיו ויכו את־הכנעני יושׁב צפת ויחרימו אותה ויקרא את־שׁמ־העיר חרמה - Genesis 1 19:22 - Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
